De-stress ♥

Stress i.e Distress
Stress is your body's way of responding to any kind of demand. It can be caused by both good and bad experiences. When people feel stressed by something going on around them, their bodies react by releasing chemicals into the blood. These chemicals give people more energy and strength, which can be a good thing if their stress is caused by physical danger. But this can also be a bad thing, if their stress is in response to something emotional and there is no outlet for this extra energy and strengthStress can affect both your body and your mind. People under large amounts of stress can become tired, sick, and unable to concentrate or think clearly. Sometimes, they even suffer mental breakdowns.[Source]


I was inspired by Michelle Phan - How to de-stress Youtube video and I thought I shared some of my ways of de-stressing.

1. Exercise! I either go for a run; even 15 minutes counts and do wonder to my soul or hit the gym - treadmill/cycling and go for weights. If all failed, I do amateur yoga in my bedroom - a bit warrior pose, downward dogs and wheel pose should be enough. 

2. Reading. I used to read a lots of romance novel and I still did but nowadays I mixed it up with motivational books and I stalked blogwalking other's blog. 

3. Watching movie(s). I make it as a must-to-do-list every weekend to watched at least minimum 2 movies. I know I can't hardly fit in the movies during weekdays but weekend is the time when I went all out - movie's date with moi 

4. When work got me so stressed up to the level I wanted to bang my head on the wall and I feel like crying - I turned off my phone. Only during night time or weekend because all of those shits can wait until the next morning or Monday.

5. Lock my bedroom door. Outsider inclusive family members sometimes are so annoying. I have this habits to keep silent and locked myself in my room - doing God alone know. TEHEE I lighted up scented candles (If Mom know I left it on until morning - I'll be scolded. Yeah. So please keep my secret!) and writes blog post or draft(s) majority.


6. I do Manicure and Pedicure. Its gave me these kind of endorphin when I saw my nails are clean and pretty.


7. I listen to good music or any music that suited my moods and singing out loud in my head! Literally. HEHE 


8. I played with my dogs and cats! Its really therapeutic. Whenever I played with my pets, I always remember this one quote about pets - They might means nothing to some of us but we meant everything to them. My pets meant hell of something to me. They are so special and they are my babies! Plus stress-reliever. 

9. If all failed; I usually shrug it off and sleep! When I woke up, I feel much better.

  1. nice post! well when i stress, i go running..like running away from the troubles. i'd also read & get lost in the book. and yes, sometimes i'd just sleep. sleep is my oblivion ^^
