Real / Mine / Remy by Katy Evans

Oh. Hello there. Today I'm going to share not one but a Trilogy (consisted of 3 books) by Katy Evans. Surprise Surprise; another modern love story eh.

Books cover and synopsis as per below.

REAL by Katy Evans (Synopsis)

A fallen boxer. A woman with a broken dream. A competition…
He even makes me forget my name. One night was all it took, and I forgot everything and anything except the sexy fighter in the ring who sets my mind ablaze and my body on fire with wanting…

Remington Tate is the strongest, most confusing man I’ve ever met in my life.

He’s the star of the dangerous underground fighting circuit, and I’m drawn to him as I’ve never been drawn to anything in my life. I forget who I am, what I want, with just one look from him. When he’s near, I need to remind myself that I am strong–but he is stronger. And now it’s my job to keep his body working like a perfect machine, his taut muscles primed and ready to break the bones of his next opponents . . .

But the one he’s most threatening to, now, is me.

I want him. I want him without fear. Without reservations.
If only I knew for sure what it is that he wants from me?

MINE by Katy Evans (Synopsis)

He's mine, and I'm his. Our love is all-consuming, powerful, imperfect, and real...

In the international bestseller REAL, the unstoppable bad boy of the Underground fighting circuit finally met his match. Hired to keep him in prime condition, Brooke Dumas unleashed a primal desire in Remington "Riptide" Tate as vital as the air he breathes... and now he can't live without her.

Brooke never imagined she would end up with the man who is every woman's dream, but not all dreams end happily ever after, and just when they need each other the most, she is torn away from his side. Now with distance and darkness between them, the only thing left is to fight for the love of the man she calls MINE.

REMY by Katy Evans (Synopsis)

Underground fighter Remington Tate is a mystery, even to himself. His mind is dark and light, complex and enlightening. At times his actions and moods are carefully measured, and at others, they spin out of control.

Through it all, there's been one constant: wanting, needing, loving, and protecting Brooke Dumas. This is his story; from the first moment he laid eyes on her and knew, without a doubt, she would be the realest thing he's ever had to fight for.

To be honest, after reading the sensational 50 Shades, I'm not really into reading the other modern-dominating-love story because its so BDSM-fifty-alike kind of story yet none can compete with 50 Shades itself. That why I think Katy Evans - Real / Mine / Remy are somewhat refreshing for me. Similar to Fifty, the story consisted of trilogy (3 series) with the recent published - Remy. So, my thoughts on these books are:
  • Forget Christian Grey. We're dealing with Alpha-male, Underground MMA fighter, Incarnated sex-god, primal and bipolar Remmington "Riptide" Tate (or simply Remy) here.
  • What I like the most is the author use a song. Like a trade-mark song for this story. In this case it's Iris by Goo Goo Dolls. When I heard Iris and the lyrics kinda bring my thoughts to Remy and Brooke's love story. Creative!
  • Of course the steamy romance.
  • Interestingly how being bi-polar can affect your relationship with everyone. In the first two series, I'm kinda questioning what is Remy thoughts / opinions in some of the situation and the last series; REMY answered it all.
  • I don't realize how addictive the story is until I look at the clock showing 3 am in the morning. I finished the 2 series in less than 3 days. Imagine my poor eyes and S3 that I keep on charging. Alas I'm one happy reader.
  • The fact that I can relate to some scene and I cry. Yes people. I fucking cry. P.s I hardly cry while reading modern romance story. So, its a win!
